Two U.S. B-1B bombers were seen flying over the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela, last Monday (27).

The sighting marks the third show of force involving U.S. military aircraft in the region recorded in recent weeks.

According to flight tracking data obtained from Flightradar 24, the two bombers took off from an airbase in North Dakota and flew parallel to the Venezuelan coast before disappearing from radar.

Since September, the United States has also conducted at least ten strikes against vessels allegedly carrying drugs and drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea.

These strikes are part of Washington’s actions against the authoritarian government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, whom the U.S. government accuses of facilitating both drug and human trafficking.
